Injury on Property
If you have been injured on someone else’s property, you may be entitled to compensation for your medical bills, lost wages and pain and suffering. This may occur in a restaurant or a grocery store if the floor is wet, or items were left exposed, causing you to fall or injure yourself. Maybe it’s from a parking lot with ice and snow, or maybe you’ve been injured by an uneven sidewalk or a crumbling step into a home or business.
Whatever caused you to be injured on someone else’s property, you may be entitled to compensation. Business and property owners in Illinois and Missouri may have a duty to protect and warn you of these safety hazards and not to allow these unsafe conditions to exist.
It is important to always try and take a picture or video of the defective area at the time. Having a picture of what caused you to fall or become injured can greatly increase the value of your case.
